Overview
To provide the hosted Service at books.lineledger.ca, LineLedger relies on a small number of trusted third-party providers (“sub-processors”). Each is bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations and may use information only to provide services to us. This page lists the sub-processors that may process personal information, what they do, and where they operate. It complements our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.
Where your data lives
Your accounting data is hosted in Canada (Ontario), and encrypted backups are stored in Canada (AWS Canada Central). Some supporting providers operate globally and may process limited operational data outside Canada, as noted below.
Infrastructure and hosting
- Fullhost — Cloud hosting and database. Runs the application servers and database that store your accounting data. Location: Ontario, Canada.
- Amazon Web Services (S3) — Backups and file storage. Stores encrypted backups and file uploads. Location: Canada (Canada Central / ca-central-1).
- Laravel Forge — Server provisioning and management. Used by our team to deploy and manage servers; processes server configuration and credentials, with minimal exposure to Customer Data.
- Cloudflare — Content delivery, DNS, TLS, and DDoS/WAF protection. Routes and secures traffic to the Service; processes connection metadata such as IP addresses. Operates a global network.
Payments
- Stripe — Payments processor. Handles your subscription billing and, through Stripe Connect, card payments your customers make in the customer portal. Card details are handled directly by Stripe; we receive only limited transaction metadata. PCI-DSS Level 1. Operates in the United States and globally.
Communications
- Resend — Transactional email. Sends account, billing, and notification emails (for example invitations and receipts). Processes recipient email addresses and message content.
Optional AI features (only if you connect them)
- Anthropic — AI assistant for the optional Business Q&A integration. If — and only if — you choose to connect the integration, the financial and contact data needed to answer your questions is sent to Anthropic and processed under its terms. This sub-processor is not used unless you enable the feature. See the Privacy Policy.
Operational tooling
- Laravel Nightwatch — Application performance monitoring. Helps us detect errors and performance problems. Configured so that no personal information is captured.
Analytics (public website only)
- Google Analytics — Website analytics. Used on our public marketing website (lineledger.ca) only, to understand aggregate traffic. It is not used in the hosted application (books.lineledger.ca), which has no third-party analytics.
Not a sub-processor
- Frankfurter — Foreign-exchange rates. We fetch daily currency rates from this public API. We send only currency codes; no personal information is transmitted, so it is not a sub-processor of personal data.
Changes to this list
As our Service evolves, we may add or replace sub-processors. When we make a material change to this list, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where required, give affected customers advance notice as described in our Data Processing Addendum. Questions? Email [email protected].
